What do you believe we should Solve for good?

This is about defining and owning a project that will have lasting impact on the Lifely culture for years to come. Utilise your “Pulse Checks” to guide you in what this project might be.

As a Council, a big part of your responsibilities is to make sure the budget and time we spend learning, developing the company and having fun is done in a way everyone at Lifely feels included. That's why every Council has the responsibility to initiate and run a project. This subject and outcome of this project is fully up to the Council. The goal is to make Lifely a better place to work and a better company to the world. We’ve come up with the following questions you must answer for a Core project.

1. What problem are we trying to Solve for good?
2. What existing capability within the company are we going to utilise?
3. What do we think our priorities should be?

In the first two months of the Council your challenge is to come up with a project. It should be something all Council members are passionate about. The project is presented to the team and management at the end of April. In order to make sure we're all working towards a similar goal and future, the Core project of the Council must be approved by the Management. The management of Lifely will also evaluate the feasibility of the project.

We have come up with some example projects to spark your thinking.

Thought-starter.

• As a Council you could help Lifely (and everyone who works here) become more carbon neutral. You could spend the year coming up with a method of off-setting all the energy we need to power our laptops, servers, public transport and cars. What else would it take?
• As a Council you could commit Lifely to being a bigger part of the tech community. We could facilitate meet-ups in creativity and technology, by lending the studio to cool initiatives. Maybe it’s about devising a program for local children who want to experience digital product development. How would you build a community around Lifely?
• As a Council you could help make working remotely more effortless for all Lifely colleagues. Maybe it’s finally time to move to Zoom, Discord or even MS teams, revamp Slackbot, and introduce new applications for making collaborations effortless. How would you shape the new normal?
