Holidays & life events.
Taking time off.
- Please, request time off in Simplicate - go to https://lifely.simplicate.nl/
- Do so at least a month in advance. This helps us have a clear picture of who is away on holiday at what time, so we can safely schedule projects and meet our deadlines without any hiccups.
- You're good to go 9 out of 10 times, but sometimes we'll ask you to move around a day or two if possible.
- If it's a last-minute thing, please, check with Traffic Management.
- If you want to take a longer leave of absence (let's say more than three consecutive weeks), please, discuss this with your Lead and Traffic Management.
- Schedule your holiday in your calendar so it's clear you're not available for meetings etc.
- Team Leads: remind your team to take time off every once in a while and communicate your own time off clearly.
Days left at the end of the year/end of the ride.
- Work hard, rest hard: we all need time to recharge and to not think about work for a change.
You get 25 days off a year (based on a 40-hour contract). We encourage you to put them to good use!
- Your days have an expiration date: any remaining days can only be used from January - June in the following year.
- Lifely guideline: take a maximum of 10 days into the next year and use them in the first three months to avoid days piling up and dragging them with you from one year to the next. Remember to work hard, rest hard.
- When leaving Lifely, your remaining days are preferably used to bring forward your end date. If this isn't possible, of course we'll pay out any days you have left.
Official public holidays.

- For our international colleagues: if you'd like to be free during any national or cultural holidays, you should totally take the time off! Please, communicate this clearly with your Lead and schedule the time off in your calendar.
- For insurance reasons, we ask you to take a day off for our annual Lifely weekend.
Life happens.
- Moving, children, funerals, marriage - life happens and we're here for you. Please, communicate clearly and (if possible) timely so we can discuss your needs.
- Dentist appointments, going to see a doctor, or getting your back fixed by a chiropractor? This also happens and we trust you to make up for any time lost. Again: communicate clearly and early when you'll be away. Discuss this with your Lead and schedule the time away in your calendar.
