What to Do with Your Devices

When your time at Lifely comes to an end, it’s important to leave all company property in a state that makes it easy for the next person to use. This means fully wiping and resetting devices so they are ready for a clean handoff. Please read through the relevant sections below.


💻 How to Leave Your Mac

If you’ve been using a company Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Fully erase and reinstall macOS.

    Follow this official guide:

    Erase all content and settings on Mac

  2. Make sure you’re signed out of your Apple ID, iCloud, and any other accounts before formatting.

  3. Remove device from Find My Mac and Apple ID account (if applicable):

  4. Hand in the Mac and any accessories (charger, dongles, etc.) to the office on your last day.


🧪 How to Leave Test Devices (iOS & Android)

If you’ve been using test devices for development or QA, here’s what to do:

iOS Devices

  1. Remove any passcodes or Face ID/Touch ID.
  2. [IMPORTANT] Sign out of Apple ID and iCloud.
  3. Erase all content and settings:
  4. Ensure “Find My iPhone” is disabled.
  5. Double-check that the device no longer appears on your Apple ID at appleid.apple.com

Android Devices

  1. Remove any screen locks (PIN, pattern, fingerprint).
