Team retreats are a great way to bond with colleagues outside your day-to-day projects. That’s why we always allocate a significant budget to do cool stuff as a team. Every retreat must have a form of team building. This can be done through a team activity like an escape room or a cooking course.
We have allocated budget for four retreats a year.
- Teamwork retreat indoors in Q1, budget is €60 per person.
- Outdoor teamwork retreat in Q2, budget is €60 per person.
- Team weekend* in Q3, budget is €300 per person for a weekend retreat.
- Christmas dinner organised by management.
Some additional ideas and guidelines for retreats:
- Everyone must be able to join the activities we organise, however it’s OK to acknowledge that it’s impossible to please everyone. What helps is to plan the Q1 and Q2 in conjunction with each other and have both serve a different target audience within our team (if there happens to be a divide).
- Budget can’t carry over to the next retreat.
- Budget must include some form of dinner and at least one drink afterward. Depending on the quarterly results the Management will pick up the Beer tab on top of the budget. ;-) A great way to keep the budget in check is to finish an activity at the Studio and stock up the fridges with drinks. ;-)
- The budget does not include transportation. This can be declared by colleagues through the declaration form. However, we encourage colleagues to carpool, etc.
