Your time at Lifely.

At Lifely, there are four types of employment contracts we offer using the below outlined structure. This structure applies to everyone who joins the company, from junior to senior level.

Probation contract (4 months).

We don't believe in 1-month probation periods. In our opinion, this is too short a time to adequately evaluate a new employee's performance, regarding work or otherwise. That's why we've changed and extended this period to an initial fixed-term contract of four months. During this period, we expect you to become comfortable at Lifely. Show us that you can shoulder the responsibilities of the job and that you're a team player. Mostly, we want to feel like you belong here, both regarding your work output level as well as your work ethos. You'll have two additional progress reviews with your Lead during this initial contract, the first one after your first month and the second one after your second month at Lifely.

Familiarisation contract (8 months).

By now, we expect you to be a bit more comfortable at Lifely, to settle in, adapt to new projects at a higher speed, and deliver work that suits your level. During your Familiarisation contract, you'll have one additional progress review at the halfway point of the contract period.

If we enter into a second contract, you'll be eligible for:

Excellence contract (12 months).

During this phase of your employment, we expect you to excel at your job and beyond. You know the company and understand your role inside out. Now, it's time for you to start growing in seniority. Another important thing is participating in events outside of your role. This can be anything you feel comfortable doing, such as organising D&D events, game nights, talks, starting and maintaining an inspiration channel in Slack, or participating in the Lifely Council. Go beyond your role and make Lifely your own.

If we enter into a third contract, you'll be eligible for:

Open-ended contract.

After the first three contracts, Lifely offers to enter into an open-ended contract with you ("vast contract" or permanent contract). Your salary increases will now be determined via annual performance and progress reviews.
